"I connected with photography early in my teen years after discovering my father's darkroom stored in the attic. From the start I was intrigued by the idea of seeing something and sharing what I saw. As a photojournalist for more than 30 years, that concept has remained a principle of my work.
I have been fortunate to work in the city and area in which I grew up. For most of my photographic career the Springfield News-Leader gave me a platform to exhibit and a voice to share and reflect the community.
My body of work includes a very large number of images of about any topic, but rather than trying to pick out the most important this or that I chose a few that I like to look at. I hope you do too."
